I am still trying to get a picture of how to actually engage in a conversation or for that matter see where and how comments are to be handled
OK that seems to be the function of this page but I really want to have visitors / participants able to interface on the Salons as you note
Agreed.
What is listening? I was asked this academic question years ago and I feel both closer—and further—from an answer. I might quip, “listening is the opposite of what my kids do”, but then one of my kids reminds me they learned to model their listening from me. Gulp.
Listening itself seems to mock our attempts to define it simply, or singly. But for me, a key and necessary ingredient is to be unguarded. To listen is to be open to change, to movement. In particular, the unguarded willingness to be altered in our interactions with the other.
